Monthly Theme: Fruits & Veggies More Matters Month
Did you know that more than 90% of adults and children do not eat the amount of fruits and veggies recommended? The obesity rate in American children has tripled in the last 30 years! Try filling half your plate with fruit and veggies at every meal, including snacks. We will be updating this page with fun recipes and tips throughout the month. Do you have a fun tip or recipe? Let us know by emailing and we will post it on the page!


1. Use your iPad or laptop to find recipes with your child on Pinterest. Let them pick a new recipe and help make it.
2. Grow your own fruits & veggies. Kids will have fun picking their plant, caring for it & watching it grow. If they pick it they have to eat it!
3. Let your child use dips. Everything is better with a dip!
4. Place bowls of fruits & veggies near kids while they are watching TV or playing video games. Kids get so involved in what they are watching they won’t even know what they are grabbing to munch on!
